Why we publish pricing

Respecting your time is the first thing.

Most consulting firms hide pricing because it's leverage in a sales conversation. That works for them and burns hours of yours. If our pricing isn't right for you, knowing that in 30 seconds beats finding out in 30 minutes.

Our effective hourly rate sits around $500/hour for comparable profiles — fractional COO + production builder hybrid. Most operators with that combo charge $400–$800/hour. We price deliberately in the middle.

The Diagnostic is priced intentionally belowthat effective rate because we'd rather do five Diagnostics that lead to three Build engagements than five free consultations that lead nowhere. The refund-half promise keeps us honest.

The real margin lives in Build & Deploy and the Managed Ops Retainer. Those tiers reflect full operator-rate pricing for scoped work and ongoing embedded partnership.

Pricing FAQ

Common pricing questions.

What's the payment schedule?

Quick Dive is paid upfront. Diagnostic: 50% at start, 50% on delivery of findings. Build & Deploy: milestones tied to scope — typically 30% at kickoff, 40% mid-build, 30% at go-live. Retainer: monthly, net-30.

Do you offer equity arrangements?

Not currently. We price deliberately and fairly. If you need equity pricing, you need a co-founder, not a consultant — and that's a different conversation.

What if my need is between tiers?

Most engagements start with a Quick Dive or Diagnostic and scope up from there. If you're between Diagnostic and Build, we'll give you a scoped proposal that isn't a cookie-cutter tier.

Do you do hourly work?

No. Hourly incentivizes the wrong things on both sides. Every engagement is scoped and fixed-fee, or monthly retainer. The effective rate is what it is — but you're buying outcomes, not time cards.

Is there a discount for long engagements?

The 6-month Retainer minimum is already priced below what the equivalent fractional-COO hiring cost would be. After 6 months we go month-to-month at the same rate. No volume discounts — we price what things are worth.

What's not included in these prices?

Third-party software costs (CRM licenses, API fees, hosting) are your responsibility and billed directly to you. Ongoing platform licenses (e.g., patient-collections SaaS) are separate from the build cost.
