Information you provide directly

• Contact form submissions:name, email, company or practice name, industry, the nature of what's broken, and your preferred contact method — when you use the form on our Contact page.
• Email correspondence: anything you share when emailing hello@veredge.ai.
• Scheduling: information you provide when booking a 20-minute discovery call through our scheduling tool (Calendly).

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, time on site, referring URL, browser type, device type, and operating system — from standard server logs.
• IP address: captured by our hosting provider in server logs.
• localStorage: your preference settings (theme, accessibility options) and your cookie consent choice. Details in Section 3.

Information we do NOT collect

• No Social Security numbers, financial account information, health records, or Protected Health Information (PHI) through this website.
• No facial recognition, biometric identifiers, or device fingerprinting.
• No advertising profiles built from your browsing activity.

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your inquiries and schedule discovery calls.
• Provide, maintain, and improve the site.
• Send follow-up communications specifically related to your inquiry. We will never add you to a marketing list without your explicit consent.
• Analyze aggregate site usage to improve user experience.
• Comply with legal obligations.

This site uses localStorage — a browser-based storage mechanism similar to cookies — for three specific keys. We do not use tracking cookies by default.

Essential (always active)

• veredgeTheme — remembers your light/dark theme preference.
• veredgeA11y — remembers your accessibility settings (font size, contrast, motion preferences, etc.).
• veredgeCookieConsent— remembers your cookie-consent choice so we don't ask you again.

Analytics (optional, with consent)

If you consent to analytics, we may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate site usage. We do not use Google Analytics or any tool that shares data with advertising networks. Any analytics data is aggregated and cannot identify you personally.

Marketing (optional, with consent)

If you consent to marketing cookies, we may use tracking pixels to measure the effectiveness of our own outreach. We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third-party advertisers.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers: we use third-party tools to operate the site (hosting, email, scheduling). These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect your information.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government regulation.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

• Standard web hosting infrastructure

We retain personal information only as long as necessary:

• Contact form submissions: retained up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Email correspondence: retained per standard business record practices.
• Server logs: automatically deleted after 90 days.
• localStorage data: persists in your browser until you clear it or change your preferences.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you have concerns about the security of your information, please contact us.

If you are a California resident, you have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

• Right to know:request what personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purpose, and the categories of third parties we've shared it with.
• Right to delete:request that we delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to opt out of sale/sharing: we do notsell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this ever changes, we will provide a clear “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism.
• Right to correct: request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
• Right to limit use of sensitive personal information: we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.
• Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@veredge.ai. We will respond within 45 days as required by law. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others) may have similar rights to access, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. Contact us to exercise these rights.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdiction with data-protection laws, you may have additional rights including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Our lawful basis for processing personal data is legitimate interest (responding to your inquiries) and consent (for optional analytics and marketing).

This site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
